School District of Beloit Turner Vision Statement

By maintaining our focus on Academic Achievement, Fiscal Responsibility, Public Trust and Communication, and the Development of a High Quality Staff…students will have the opportunity to maximize their potential.

District Overview

The School District of Beloit Turner is a comprehensive PreK-12 district serving more than 1,500 students in south central Wisconsin. We are known as a district of choice with more than 20% of our student body represented by students who open enroll into our district.

We have a 7 member school board whose primary focus is to make decisions which support our students and staff. Due to sound fiscal management, we are able to meet the needs and wishes of our students, staff, and families.

We are a small to mid-size sub-urban/rural setting with 3 main campuses. Powers Elementary serves our early grades (EC and 4K-2nd). Townview Elementary serves grades 3 through 5. Our middle school and high school have a shared main campus serving grades 6-8 in Turner Middle School and grades 9-12 in the Turner High School. We are very proud of the safe and secure learning environment we provide our students, staff, and our families.

Beyond these key factors, we are known for being a smaller school setting which offers big opportunities for our students. By the time our students reach Turner High School, they are prepared to move toward their next step of college and career readiness education. We have numerous Advanced Placement course offerings that are rarely found at a school of our size. Our close proximity to Beloit College, UW-Rock County, and Blackhawk Technical College gives our students even more opportunities to prepare them for life after high school. With an outstanding music and drama program, numerous club offerings, and many athletic opportunities led by caring educators, our students can always engage in an activity that fits their interest.
